JOURNEY OF WOMEN’S LIBERATION

Our Gr 9 elective group, “Girl power – where is the glass ceiling?” presented some innovative presentations with live interactive role play on the 1920s . Working together with the History Department, the group is currently investigating the journey of women’s liberation in the twentieth century through to current issues. Issues they have investigated include “Economic changes for women in the work place and society”, “Fashion: Clothing as a political and social statement” and “Social Changes: behaviour, values, activities, dance styles, music.”

The presentations were very creative and informative, and helped students visualise life in the 1920s!
