FAMILY GROUP FUN

At our Prep School, ‘Family Groups’ have been set up from Grade 1 – 7. Each Family Group is comprised of 2 girls from each grade with an assigned staff member who facilitates group sessions every alternate Wednesday. The aim of these Family Groups is to create a connection and a shared ‘sisterhood’ across the school. Studies show that in schools where similar groupings have been created it has decreased the incidence of bullying and created a greater sense of belonging.

Today the Family Groups met for an informal break time picnic which was led by the Grade 7 ‘moms’. This was a wonderful opportunity for the girls to get to know their Family Groups better and share their treats!
