International Mathematics Competition

Two of our girls headed off to International Mathematics Competitions in the July school holidays. Juliette Roux (Grade 8) was part of a Grade 10 team from Cape Town to participate in an international competition in Bulgaria.  She achieved a merit award in this competition. Amber De Decker (Grade 12) donned her green and gold blazer to represent South Africa in Nairobi at the Pan African Mathematics Olympiad. The South African team won gold, coming first of the ten African teams. Individually, Amber won two bronze medals: one for coming fourteenth and one for placing as the fifth girl.
