DIALOGUE DAY

Last week our Senior school community engaged in our first ever Dialogue Day.

Dialogue Day provided a crucial, safe and empowering opportunity for all students to explore issues of identity, belonging and bias, to hear each other’s experiences, and to explore ways of creating a greater sense of belonging for all at the school.

Twenty-five of our staff were trained and acted as facilitators, with the overall day being facilitated by Dylan Wray and Roy Hellenberg of Shikaya and Futureproof Schools and authors of ‘A School Where I Belong’.

We are incredibly proud of our students for the way in which they wholeheartedly embraced this day, and for bravely and actively participating in this important dialogue.

We look forward to continuing this dialogue, and many of the like, in the everyday life of Herschel.
