Olivia Nel, Grade 10, qualifies for the Senior Commonwealth Games

Five of our girls, Olivia Nel (Grade 10), Georgia Nel (Grade 10), Hanim Abrahams (Grade 10), Jeanre Buys (Grade 12) and Hannah Pearce (Grade 9), competed in the Senior Commonwealth Games trials held in Durban just before Christmas.

Olivia was rewarded with a 3rd place finish in the Women’s 50m Freestyle event, and was the only Western Cape school girl to qualify for the Commonwealth Games! Considering she is only 15 years of age, this is an amazing achievement, especially in the sprint event, which is highly competitive!

Congratulations to all three girls!
